New Wave promotes end of year solidarity in Caxias andVargem Pequena

The company donated items such as food parcels, chocotones and toys to three partner institutions

Guided by values such as sustainability, New Wave seeks to have a positive impact on the communities in the regions where it operates. Mobilized by this goal, the company made donations to the ABBA Institute and the Figueira Social Assistance Reference Centre (Centro de Referência de Assistência Social – CRAS), both in Duque de Caxias, in the Rio de Janeiro lowlands, as well as the Bandeirantes Social Centre, in Vargem Pequena, in Rio de Janeiro. In all, more than 680 items were donated.

In Caxias, the donations were delivered on December 19 to the ABBA Association Institute, which supports children, young people and adolescents in situations of social vulnerability, and to the Figueira Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS). Each location received more than 200 items of school supplies, such as backpacks and notebooks, as well as toys such as footballs, headphones and coloring books, including more than 150 chocotones.

In Vargem Pequena, where the new New Wave Technology Center will be located, more than 130 basic food baskets were delivered to the Bandeirantes Social Center on 8/12. The donated food was distributed to the families assisted by the institution.

Those donations highlight New Wave’s commitment to the Social Pillar of the ESG agenda and local development. The institutions, which we have been supporting for around four years, are aligned with the company’s objective of promoting a positive social impact close to our units.
