Wave Aluminium expands international presence with new intellectual property achievements

New Wave has just reached new international milestones. The Wave Aluminum technology, our business unit focused on the sustainable processing of bauxite waste, has had another patent application granted – this time in Australia.

With this approval, Wave Aluminium now holds patent rights in seven countries: Brazil, the United States, Canada, Jamaica, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Australia. In addition, patent applications for this technology are at an advanced stage of processing in India, Europe, and China, and are expected to be granted shortly.

Wave Nickel has also achieved important milestones, with patent applications granted in the United States and Russia. This achievement holds even greater significance: these will be the first patents granted abroad for this technology. Until then, they had been concentrated in Brazil.

Expansion into new markets represents another step forward in protecting and enhancing the value of the assets developed by the company, paving the way for new partnerships and reinforcing New Wave’s international standing. This progress reinforces the company’s strategy to transform knowledge into innovative, high-value-added solutions capable of contributing to a more sustainable future.
